Lazy

I can't believe I haven't blogged in almost two months. I feel terrible. I'm sorry, dear readers, please don't hate me, I have plenty of excuses, but I won't insult you by making them. Suffice it to say, I'm back, and I'm going to try harder, dammit.

I just lost my little friend Kermit (that's the name I decided to go with). When Mike and I went out of town for Christmas, I put an automatic feeding pellet in the tank, but it caused an algae bloom, and Kermit didn't make it. I think I'm just going to stick with the snails and crabs until we move into a bigger house where I can have a permanent refugium...

I've read quite a few books in the last couple of months, I won't go into any detail about them, but my favorites have been "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy, and "I am Legend" by Richard Matheson.

I've also seen many movies, my favorite movies have been "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium" and "No Country for Old Men." I'm looking forward to seeing "There Will be Blood" later this week.

Right now I'm taking a completely ridiculous 25 credits of classes, so it has prompted me to quit my job so I can focus on my studies.

I also got offered a full-time job at a "global consulting firm" that I accepted, but doesn't start until September or October of this year. That leaves me some time to take off between graduation in June and starting my job as a consultant to travel, and most importantly, visit my friend Seth in Norway.

I have also undertaken a few new year's resolutions:

1) I will golf at least once every two weeks (just hitting a bucket of balls at the driving range is acceptible)

2) I will take private pilates classes once a week.

3) I will try to eat "better."

4) I will do cardio at least twice a week.

So far, I'm off to a good start, I've been to both my pilates classes, i've hit golf balls twice, and I'm starting the cardio (with husband) tomorrow.

I've got to do some work on a short story for my creative writing class, so I shall bid you adieu. In addition to my fitness-y resolutions, I'm going to try to be a better blogger.

any chance that one of your short stories will get published on your blog?

Remember when planning your in-between school and wotk travel that there's always a vacancy on my couch!

Steven: We'll see. Part of the problem of being critical of everything is that it also extends to your own work. :)

Bookgirl: I'll definitely keep that in mind. I love me some NYC.
